Before creating a NAS volume for your Buffalo TeraStation NAS, you must install the
NAS.
Before you begin
Designate a dedicated NAS for Stratocast™—one that is used solely to store your video
recordings. Having a dedicated NAS ensures that you get accurate storage
estimates of the hard disk on your NAS, and that you do not risk deleting
other personal files that are not related to Stratocast™.
What you should know
Although you can add whichever Buffalo NAS you want, only the TS5200 has been
tested and is fully supported by Stratocast™. For the latest information about your Buffalo NAS, refer
to the Buffalo website and the product documentation that is provided with your
device.
Procedure
Power on the TeraStation NAS.
After a few minutes, the IP address of the NAS appears onscreen.
From a browser, enter the IP address to access web page of the TeraStation
NAS.
Enter a new password for your TeraStation NAS. The password does not have to be
the same password that you give your NAS when adding it to Stratocast™, but it is recommended to use the same one in both
places.
Click Next and follow the onscreen
instructions to complete the configuration.
