Downloading server reports for your Axis video units

2016-08-25Last updated

If you are performing a troubleshooting procedure related to your video unit and you require assistance, you can download the server report for your Axis video unit and then send it to Stratocast™ support.

What you should know

A server report is available for each of your Axis video units. This report contains information about the Axis server, firmware version, and a list of current settings. Before requesting assistance from Stratocast™ support, it is recommended to always download a valid server report.

Procedure

  1. Open the video unit’s web page and log on. You must be connected to your client's network to be able to access the video unit's web page.
Important: For the duration that your video unit is enrolled in Stratocast™, use your video unit's owner authentication key (OAK) as the password to log on to your video unit's Axis web page. If your OAK contains hyphens, omit them when entering your password.
  2. Click Setup > System Options > Support > Logs & Reports .
  3. Click Download Server Report.
A ZIP file that contains the server report is generated.
