Transmission Control Protocol

A connection-oriented set of rules (protocol) that, along with the IP (Internet Protocol), is used to send data over an IP network. The TCP/IP protocol defines how data can be transmitted in a secure manner between networks. TCP/IP is the most widely used communications standard and is the basis for the Internet. In Stratocastâ„¢, all video streams and communication between the cameras, web client and the Stratocastâ„¢ cloud use TCP for communicating.
